| 26lbs caught at Jed Smith Park in the 80's. The fly fishing for Salmon on the Smith River is very rewarding. Fishing shooting heads into schools of sometimes hundreds of Salmon with blue skies and beautiful surroundings can not beat. My largest Salmon on a fly rod is 44lbs and the chance to get a Steelhead over 20lbs is good. Fly fishing on the Smith is challenging, but with some luck and a good guide even the novice can do well. |
